Overview
Line contact between roller and raceway gives a cylindrical roller bearing far more radial capacity than a ball bearing of the same size. The rib arrangement decides whether the bearing floats axially or locates the shaft, which is what the NU, NJ and NUP letters describe.

Why buy this here
We buy direct from our manufacturing partners, so the counter price on standard sizes is set at the factory end rather than after three local margins. Stock sits in Dragon Mart 1 twelve hours a day, six days a week, and single pieces are sold on the same terms as carton quantities.
If you are not certain which variant you need, send a photograph of the failed part to our WhatsApp. The markings on the outer ring — or, failing that, the bore, outside diameter and width — are enough for us to identify the correct replacement.

Common questions
NU has no ribs on the inner ring, so the shaft can float axially — use it as the non-locating bearing. NJ locates the shaft in one direction. NUP locates it in both. In a two-bearing shaft you usually want one locating and one floating.
NU cannot. NJ and NUP will take light to moderate thrust through the ribs. If the thrust load is significant you need a different bearing type — talk to us first.
For high speed, high temperature or shock loading, yes. For general industrial duty a steel or polyamide cage is normally adequate and costs less.
