How telecom, utility and civil works fit together from site survey to commissioning.
Site surveys inform the installation design. The route, connection points and crossings help define where ducts, chambers, pipes or overhead equipment belong.
The civil scope may include excavation, trenching, duct banks and joint boxes. Where the route crosses a road or an existing utility, horizontal directional drilling offers a trenchless installation method.
Crews lay cable or pipe along the prepared route. Fibre work includes splicing and termination. HDPE crossings involve welding pipe sections and pulling the pipe through the prepared bore.
The final scope can include cable testing, commissioning, backfilling and surface reinstatement. Existing fibre links may also require fault tracing and maintenance.
